NOSTALGIA

Memories have the power to confine or liberate you from your past. It is often thought that nostalgia is evoked when you reminisce over fond memories that tap into your associations of happiness. However, the Greek derivative of the word nostalgia refers to

the pain from an old wound

Nostalgia is a multifaceted feeling that shows us how far we have come, who we are now, and who we want to be in the future. Underneath each painting, there is another pristine painting filled with vivid colors that is symbolic of what we wish to remember. The painting was covered to serve as reminder that there is still beauty in the orginal state and reality of our memoreis. Each piece in this series is intentionally left untitled. That honor is left to the next keeper of the piece.
